Determinants and calculation methods for the price of thick blister products

The unit price of blister products is related to the following factors: the length, width, height of the product and the complexity of blister molding; the type, thickness and color of the materials used; the subsequent processing technology (folding, punching) of thick blister products Hole, sealing edge, etc.), order quantity and order cycle. Generally, there will be an initial quotation based on the customer's samples and description, and the final quotation will be quoted after proofing.

The price of thick sheet blister products is firstly determined by the raw materials used. Under the same thickness and the same size and shape, PET blister products are the most expensive, followed by PVC materials, followed by PS materials, and the low-cost ones are PP material.

The second major factor affecting the price of blister products is the size and height of the product. The larger the size, the higher the price, and the higher the height, the higher the unit price.

Thick film blister processing

There is a quick way to calculate the price, which can be provided to everyone: lay the thick blister product on the handle flat, measure the unfolded size, and weigh it. Calculate the thickness of the material used based on the size and weight. In centimeters, the calculation formula is: length * width * density * thickness * raw material unit price * 2 = finished product unit price.
For example, "For example, a product with a PVC double-folded blister shell, the unfolded size is 30*10cm, the weight is 25 grams, the estimated thickness of the material used is 0.6mm, and the unit price is: 30*10*1.4*0.06*0.0125*2 = 0.63 yuan"

The unit price of blister = product material cost + energy consumption + labor and transportation + profit

Energy consumption: thick sheet blister is processed by heat, which consumes more electricity than other industries, roughly 8% of the product material cost
Labor: The blister is mainly produced by machines, with less labor, which is roughly 10% of the product material cost
Transportation: According to the distance between the customer and the factory,
Profit: The net profit of thick film blister factory is generally very low, 12%-20%, depending on the payment period, 30 days checkout is 14%
Material cost: The calculation of product material cost is more complicated. Before calculation, first find out the following data:
Raw material price: According to the use of the product, determine which material and grade of material to use, and find a low-cost supplier of this material
Film thickness: Pre-explain how thick film the product must be made, which depends on the thickness and shape of each part of the molding
Number of typesetting: Calculate how many molds can be arranged in one plate according to the product's overall size and shape. Dense packing will reduce product quality, and thinning will increase material loss and increase costs.
Material loss rate: The main factors are the product shape, the number of products, and the degree of adaptation of the shape to the chassis of the blister machine. The more square the shape and the greater the output, the smaller the loss rate.
